Piano For All Reviews – As the title implies, Piano for All seeks to accept the piano to make it a simpler instrument for individuals to learn. It essentially is really a computer-based multimedia course that integrates text lessons with visual and audible elements to create a better learning experience than what’s commonly available through traditional mediums such as books and manuals.
One of the biggest pluses of Piano for All is that it gets you playing popular music extremely quickly. True, the tunes may not be terribly complex, but they’re not “Twinkle, Twinkle” either. As being a student, being able to play songs you actually enjoy makes the learning process more engaging, more pleasurable and gives an increased sense of satisfaction.
Robin Hall, the mind behind Piano for All is an Irish piano teacher and artist. Interestingly enough, though we couldn’t find all that much about his musical background and qualifications, we found out a bit about his career for an artist. Robin Hall is really a proficient cartoonist who has were able to publish multiple well-received books on drawing cartoons. Piano for All customers will even arrive at see a few of his original artwork as some of it makes it in the course (much more about that later).
Course Contents: The Piano for All course package contains 10 different eBooks. Linked to these eBooks are 200 video and 500 audio demonstrations, examples, and exercises. When downloading the course, you’ll discover the course size is almost half a gigabyte at 431mb. Note: People on slower internet connections do have the ability to download the course one eBook at a time. So yeah, should you weren’t sure, this is actually a fairly large course.
After basic orientation for the piano, the course begins by teaching how to play basic chords to various rhythms to create popular songs. Gradually, the rhythms become a little more complex and the chords be more sophisticated. The eBooks are made to be followed as a way and introduce genre-specific piano chords and rhythms when you move from the course. Robin also helps quicken your progress by introducing various memorization techniques and shortcuts as you go along. As mentioned, the lessons do use some popular songs in the lessons, but on account of licensing fees and legal issues typically aren’t included in their entirety. Unlike most traditional lessons, Piano for All Reviews waits until you have a good grasp on ear-playing before showing the best way to sight-read.
Whereas the first 9 eBooks carry out the actual teaching of the course eBook #10 is actually a piano resource depository using a load of tips, tricks and helpful information. You’ll find information on how to setup and connect a MIDI keyboard in your PC, book reviews, as well as lists of songs that make use of the different rhythms taught earlier in the course. Also included with Piano for All Reviews is a bonus eBook titled, Increase your Creative Ability by 400%. At first glance this Bonus eBook seems a little bit out of place but basically it shows you how you may increase your creativity by reducing the stress and other negative emotions in your own life. This eBook makes a great read for anyone, whether or not they desire to play piano. It reads rather like a self-help book and is stuffed with original cartoons that Robin Hall created which makes for the entertaining read.
Where Piano for All Reviews piano lessons really shine is in their ease-of-use and interactivity. Whenever the eBook says you need to see or listen to an outside multimedia file (sound or video), all you want do is click on just a little icon embedded within the actual lesson page and the relevant file will begin playing. I can’t inform you how much easier (and quicker) this is than having to dig through a whole bunch of files and folders on your pc to locate the exact file. Other multimedia piano courses for example the popular Rocket Piano course would have really benefited from developing a feature such as this in their software.
Practice Tip: If you have the choice between practicing along with Piano for All Review having an upright or keyboard you need to probably utilize the keyboard. The reason why being is you can set up your keyboard right in front of the computer screen and play combined with the exercises rather than printing out the lessons and missing out on the multimedia facets of the course.
Piano for All Review is not without its shortcomings however, and we’ll mention some of them here. Video/technical excellence of the Piano for All Review is alright, ok even, but really Robin could have made this curriculum soooo much better… The videos are low-resolution, somewhat grainy and the camera is always positioned so the video is at a slight angle in addition to being off-center. It’s hard never to notice this stuff and it does make it a little bit disconcerting to look at (for symmetry freaks much like me anyway…). Within the video’s audio we also noticed a low hum that persisted throughout all of the movies. The fact that Robin’s voice isn’t everything distinct or clear didn’t help matters much. Going back to an earlier point, it’s worth noting that because there is over 7 hours amount of video lessons and examples inside the course, the recording files had to be recorded at a somewhat lower resolution to keep the total course size under 500mb.
We found the eBooks and course material itself to be good, but not perfect. There’s the occassional typo, a minimum of one dead connect to a video file, and references to a few technically incorrect musical terms. Obviously none of this really is deal-breaker material, but just a few things we noticed when looking within the lessons.
Robin Hall makes himself readily available via his personal email that he has published on his website.
In the course of this writing, the full Piano for All package can bought for $39.95. (reg. $79.50) You can buy the eBooks separately but it’s a rather ridiculous idea since most of the books are priced at $29.95 a pop. There actually can also be payment options and package deals provided by the ordering page, but they all even make less sense given that you always find yourself paying far more for the same package. You can add over a CD containing the eBooks and files to your order, but this can be somewhat redundant since you could always backup the course onto a CD later once you’ve downloaded it.
A complimentary 60-day refund is offered by Robin Hall who states that when you aren’t “completely thrilled” with your purchase you can send him a message and he’ll issue an entire refund. That’s the kind of guarantee we like to view accompanying digital download products.
There’s a lot to like with Piano for All. The teaching methods are progressive, engaging and make the learning process more fulfilling for students. It’s also extremely affordable compared to most piano courses on the market. Unfortunately right now we can’t provide a full endorsement due to technical quality issues, mediocre video quality, lack of visual learning aids like light-up keys that you find in other piano courses, and perhaps too much focus on sounding good and not enough on learning the theory behind how the music all works together. Still, when it comes to budget-friendly downloadable piano courses, it’s hard to beat the value that Piano for All provides.
This is one of my favorite home study piano programs. Teach yourself to play the piano with this course. It is not as slick looking as a few of it’s competitors (Rocket Piano) but it has its own special character and on the full I really like the way in which the whole course is planned to guide each student through the learning process.
Whatever You Get
The course includes Ten hefty work books in a printable pdf format, 200 instructional videos and 500 audio lessons. No fancy software here but the instruction is top quality and intensely well mapped out.

The Unique Learning Process
This course might be a different from others in that it teaches you how to play by ear, utilizing chord charts and how to read music all at the same time straight from the absolute basic level.
Listed here is a Video Review showing you what you get when you purchase
The first book is called Party Time – Rhythm Style Piano. This starts you off assuming you have no musical knowledge at all and possess never touched a piano before. It teaches you where to find the notes on the keyboards, and by means of simple diagrams it helps guide you to place your fingers and it has you playing simple melodies straight away. It then shows you how to recognize the notes you possess learned on the musical staff. Then as you may advance you obtain shown some chords. The whole basis with this book is to play such as a pianist with real rhythms. You are taught how to play basic chords but also using them with authentic rhythms using both hands. The outcomes sound really good. The best thing about it is that as you progress you also get taught how to read music… little by little until before you decide to realize it you discover that you are able to experience by ear and read music or chord symbols.
When you have learned the standard principle of these books, the rhythm method for want of your better name you can then progress onto the more advanced books.
You have the Blues book where you learn beginners blues patterns and riffs.
Another book is named Chord Magic. This teaches you how to play in the basic chords in different inversions and how to combine them in chord sequences with rhythm that is really superb and has you sounding like a seasoned pianist.
This is then followed by the Advanced Chords book.
By the time you can the next book, Ballad Style you are really playing like a professional. With this book you learn how to have a melody and improvise around it giving a ballad style in your playing.
The very last book is Jazz Piano Made Easy. This is merely that, it de-mystifies jazz playing along with some quite simple chord progressions and runs you will be playing authentic sounding Jazz pieces in no time by any means.
Each book contains video and audio clips which you may simply click on and they open right there.
The most annoying thing about this course is that the teaching material is perhaps all traditional songs and melodies. This is because of the copyright laws prohibiting them by using protected material which leaves only the traditional and anonymous compositions.
The entire way of learning using basic chords coupled with rhythms has you playing authentic sounding piano right from the start. You can easily start this course in case you are at an intermediate level too as it progresses up to quite an advanced level at the end.
The complete best thing about this course is that it has you playing great sounding piano from the start and enables you to advance extremely quickly.
To Help You Decide
To help you make up your mind you can download a sample page so you can discover how the course is organized and the way it works. There is also a 60 day money back guarantee should you be not entirely convinced.
This course I give a definite five star rating. It is my favorite and although the look of the books is not as slick as some of the other courses the content, material and teaching technique is superb.

”Affordable, Piano Or Keyboard Lessons by Robin Hall”
Hi, Its official for me anyway,
Learning to play the piano, or perhaps in my case, the keyboards sure take’s away each of the stress of just living in a not so perfect world such as the one we are now living in today.
If you’re the first-time visitor to jabberdi, you may well already have guessed my passion is perfect for music and for those who aim to produce and perform it, through their voice or perhaps an instrument.
A few months ago after finding and visiting the virtual piano website. I discovered myself spending a good 3 to 4 hours tapping on my computer keyboard seeking to produce what most would call acceptable musical rhythms, I came away with a bug within my tummy, not the kind which enables you sick, the kind that energizes you to definitely learn new things. I’d wound up catching the learn to play keyboards fire inside the tummy bug.
This set me off on a quest to find suitable online and affordable piano or keyboard lessons that were easy to follow and learn. I found two courses I’m more than happy to recommend to others who also need a cure for the learn to play piano or keyboard’s fire in the tummy bug.
The first is by Robin Hall “pianoforall” Another one I am going to be publishing a review on soon, is by Samantha Griffiths “See Keys” Piano/keyboard Lessons For Dyslexia & Learning Difficulties. The gift of music really should not be held back from people who have learning difficulties and this course as some very interesting teaching methods included in it.
Robin Hall’s Piano for all, Is the best value for money piano course I have had the pleasure of working through, I discovered it to be filled with tricks and tips I never knew existed before in the world of learning to play the piano. Now learning piano in my case is a little misleading since it was keyboards, I wanted to learn how to play. However, when it comes down to it, what you learn transfers to the other.
ipad-version-download_5The brilliant thing about piano for all is, if you are lucky to own a piano and iPad, it is possible to directly download the full course to your iPad, and then follow what Robin is teaching you.
You can simply place your iPad where you would normally place the sheet music on your piano. You can then follow combined with the books, go through the direct video links and play the audio files. All the above can be directly accessed from your iPad screen.
However, if like me, you don’t own a full piano, and keyboards are your thing, then downloading to your PC maybe the greater option. I simply load in the course on my own PC and drop my Yamaha YPT220 Portable Keyboard down before it.
How Robin Hall teaches you to try out the piano or keyboards.
The Pianoforall Process simply speaking:
Traditional piano instruction generally begins with Sight Reading (being taught to memorize other people’s musical compositions using musical notation) Unfortunately, it is an extremely laborious process and lots of accomplished ‘sight readers’ have no idea about how to play by ear or just how the music they can sight read is constructed in the first place.
To achieve this you have to learn about chords and harmony. However, Pianoforall works the other way round. You build a solid foundation using chords, ‘real’ sounding rhythms and grooves and you then BUILD added to that and learn how to play by ear and sight read in the process.
The secret to learning piano in the shortest time possible is to begin with CHORDS.
There are many TERRIFIC party rhythms throughout PFA and the knowledge gained is invaluable. Pianoforall uses lots of memory tricks tips and formulas to quicken the learning process for you.
The whole lessons come combined in three formats…
PDF Audio and Video. They are all accessible inside the PDF e-books like so in the graphic below.
Accessing the videos:
Clicking on the play video icon will pop up the video so you can follow along with Robin performing the actual lesson you are learning. To me, this is a terrific concept. READ lesson, Watch lesson, Tune in to the lesson. It’s a remarkable concept and way to teach.
You listen to the lesson in much exactly the same by hitting the audio icon…
